Explanation
Our term project concerned with the design of symbiotic, aggregating, space frame-type structures which have a natural ability of carrying infrastructure allowing these constructions to impose both a spatial and environmental modification of the places they inhabit.These “creatures” live in the forgotten and in-between spaces of the urban environment, and through their presence will be able to energize these places as centers of a societal transformation. While many projects (crisis fronts, evolo) have already argued for similar interventions on a theoretically basis, we will make our argument tectonically and physically, leveraging digital computation and rapid prototyping as a means to modulate, fabricate, and test, we hope to create a system of architecture that anticipates future use.
